The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, inspected and inaugurated the first phase of the Dr. José Gregorio Hernández Integral Diagnostic Center (CDI), located in the El Junquito parish of Caracas.
This center will benefit more than 50,000 inhabitants and has general medicine, dentistry, ophthalmology, shock trauma, portable X-ray and pediatrics services. This CDI is the 40th that provides its services in the city of Caracas.
In this sense, the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, highlighted that the people of El Junquito requested to continue with the work in said CDI by the Local Planning Council, where assemblies were held to approve the resources and finally see this health center materialized this September 4.
It was known that the place also has a laboratory where all the samples are processed, to serve the entire population of El Junquito. The Minister of People’s Power for Health, Magaly Gutiérrez, indicated that this CDI has high-tech equipment, where they process 300 to 350 hematology and blood chemistry tests.
The Integral Diagnostic Center also has an ophthalmology room with refraction to perform eye exams, with high-end equipment to serve everyone in the parish, a trauma shock room and a vital support area.
