President Maduro called a national congress of grandparents for May 29

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, announced the holding of a mega congress of grandfathers and grandmothers to constitute a large organized movement that understands the needs of the elderly in the national territory and structures the methodologies to attend to them and solve them.

In this context and as part of the third vertex of the Great Mission Grandfathers and Grandmothers of the Homeland, the head of State detailed that from May 13 to 20, the grandparents’ congresses will be held in the 325 municipalities of the country; while, from May 20 to 25, state meetings will be held, including the capital city, Caracas, “to reach the great congress on May 29 where the movement will be constituted by the popular bases of the third age. This must be in a place other than Caracas, it could be in Lara, Miranda, La Guaira, Carabobo, Aragua, we will see, we will announce it soon.”

This May 8 was launched the Great Mission of Grandfathers and Grandmothers of the Homeland, through which direct attention will be provided to this sector of Venezuelan society in the context of the promotion of different Great Missions of new generations by the national Executive, as as has been the Great Mission Women Venezuela, Great Mission Venezuela Young, Great Mission Viva Venezuela My Beloved Homeland, Great Mission Equality and Social Justice “Hugo Chávez”, and the Great Mission Science, Technology and Innovation “Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán”.
