The Unilateral Coercive Measures (UCM), incorrectly called “sanctions”, applied by hegemonic countries against Venezuela and their negative impact on the human, social and economic rights of Venezuelans, were recognized by the self-called Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR), that in its latest report it admitted in brief paragraphs that they must be “lifted”, as demanded at the time by the UN rapporteur, Alena Douhan, who corroborated in 2021 the damage caused by such criminal actions, in violation of the International Law.
Thus was highlighted by the Vice Minister for Anti-Blockade Policies of the Ministry of People’s Power of Economy and Finance, William Castillo, through his social networks, when commenting on two small paragraphs that were included in a rigged “Report” of the international organization, dedicated to attacking – as they always do – the Bolivarian Republic:
“That an organization absolutely hostile and biased against our country, an instrument to attack Venezuela, has had to recognize the impact of the Unilateral Coercive Measures (UCM) is something that should make think the flat-earthers of the sanctions, who continue denying them”, he warned on his account @planwac.
Through a title full of sarcasm: “BREAKING: Even the Inter-American Court asks to lift sanctions on Venezuela”, Castillo ironically commented on the “Venezuela 2023 Report”, where is repeated, almost in its entirety, the same criminalizing narrative of each year against the Bolivarian nation, but, nevertheless, highlighted the unusual fact that the IACHR recognized that the “sanctions” do exist indeed:
“The Venezuelan Anti-Blockade Observatory takes note of this fact as a recognition of an undeniable reality, and at the same time reaffirms that the IACHR does a deficient job of research and data on human rights in Venezuela, and in particular, the impacts on the human rights produced by the illegal and criminal blockade,” the message concludes.
“LAST MINUTE:
Even the Inter-American Court asks to lift sanctions against Venezuela.
In its Venezuela 2023 report, 99.99% of which repeats the same criminalizing narrative against Venezuela of every year, the IACHR nevertheless took a couple of paragraphs to recognize that the sanctions… pic.twitter.com/5MjrdCjzxU”
