Head of State instructs to expand and democratize credit plans for producers

During a work journey dedicated to the productive economy, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, instructed to advance in the construction of new legislative schemes for financing producers in the country, which allow the democratization and access to credit for entrepreneurs.

From the El Tunal Agroindustrial Complex, located in Quibor, Lara State, the President assured that for the Venezuelan State “the democratization of credit is a priority, which will generate a diversified economic activity in conditions in which the producer can access and pay the financing”.

In this sense, he valued the proposal that came out of the discussion of the grassroots assemblies that took place in recent weeks throughout the country, on the 7T towards 2030:

“I received a very good proposal, in an assembly I had with social movements of the country to discuss the Seven Transformations, which I value very much, it is a proposal that we are already working on, but we have to work on it better to move forward”, said the Dignitary.

In context, he assured that the new productive economic model has been strengthened since 2019, as a response of the Venezuelan people to the onslaught of the blockade and the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the U.S. government on the country’s economy.

For his part, Wilmar Castro Soteldo, Minister for Agricultural Production and Lands, stated that the increase in the agri-food sector “indicates an average mobilization per cycle that the agri-food sector has made of 3.1 billion dollars, an important figure”.

He also explained that “the sector has had an exponential growth that already exceeds 1 billion dollars in financing, only in the agricultural sector”.

“We must build a new efficient, transparent but powerful state of wealth, which allows investment and turns into social prosperity, social welfare, an economy that works and generates goods and services”, concluded the Head of State.
