AN will present draft schedule to sign the final document before the CNE

This Wednesday, the National Assembly (AN) began the second meeting with representatives of political parties and organizations of Venezuela, in the continuation of the Great Journey of National Dialogue for the preparation of a document agreed upon with various sectors for a proposed electoral calendar that will be presented to the National Electoral Council (CNE).

At the meeting, it was decided to “form these 41 political organizations into a permanent political body of consultation and discussion that transcends beyond the events that we agree on in electoral matters for the presidential election, so that we can also advance in other discussions,” as reported the president of the AN, Jorge Rodríguez, at the end of the meeting.

Another decision made this Wednesday with the political parties is the search for a way to guarantee that there is equal opportunity and participation in traditional media and social networks, on the different political offers that arise for the presidential election: “We are evaluating what the legal scope may be, to the effect that electoral campaigns and electoral events, in this presidential case, can receive some type of financing from the State. “These are elements to consider,” said Rodríguez.

The president of the AN stressed that these 41 political organizations are duly registered with the CNE, represent 97% of the partisan spectrum in the nation, and voluntarily attended the dialogue. Whoever wanted to participate did so, he who did not want to, is his responsibility, he clarified:

97% of all political parties duly registered with the CNE, for those racists in communication, and I call them racist because they only exist for some international media, for them only exist those political parties that look like them, those who are white, with blue eyes; There are no other parties. Here is the spectrum of absolutely the entire Venezuelan political panorama, from liberal sectors, right-wing sectors, sectors of social democracy, sectors of Christian democracy, different aspects of parties that split from the traditional Venezuelan opposition parties, and the Great Patriotic Pole (GPP) with the nine parties that make life within the revolution.” commented the parliamentarian.

Inclusive dialogue:

In this call for dialogue, more than eight sectors of the country have attended the National Parliament: businessmen, religious people, political organizations, workers, cultivators, academics, universities, among others, with the firm objective of listening to and systematizing the proposals that Strengthen this great document that the Electoral Power will study.

From the Federal Legislative Palace, directors, representatives and presidential candidates of political organizations were present again, after the Carnival holiday, to give more ideas, proposals and exchange opinions on this day of extensive conversations that began two weeks ago to nourish the document that will collect contributions from all participating sectors.
