The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, asserted this Monday that the Venezuelan people do not forget who are the people who requested the bloodiest sanctions against the country, measures that even today do great damage to the national life:
“Who did ask for maximum pressure against Venezuela? Who did ask for an invasion of US troops into Venezuela? “Who asked for them to destroy the oil industry, to prohibit trade, to chase gold, for us not to be able to buy medicines?” questioned the Head of State.
“The surnames, the Guaidó, the López, the Machado, the Ledezma, the Borges are the ones who asked for that (…) they do the damage and then they say that what – the Venezuelan people – is suffering is to be blamed on the revolution, of Maduro”, he declared.
The national dignitary criticized that representatives of the extreme right wing, after openly going against the country, are presenting themselves as candidates for elected positions, with the false promise that they will solve the problems that they have created themselves:
“Who created these problems? They did! And who is overcoming these problems? With our own efforts, we – the Venezuelans – ourselves, without depending on anyone, without begging from anyone, without kneeling to anyone, little by little we are recovering from the wounds created by the missiles of the sanctions that these people asked for,” he expressed.
During the 32nd broadcast of the “Con Maduro+” program, the President rejected recent statements from a sector of the opposition that threatens to ask for more sanctions if their whims are not met.
“They are extremist people (…), perverse people who hate Venezuela,” he stated.
Finally, President Maduro indicated that the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States on Venezuela are illegal and he does not hesitate to describe them as “an economic genocide” that affects the entire population.
