President Maduro: Only in peace and cooperation is the Venezuela – Curacao mutual development

Venezuelan tourism to Curacao increased 362% after reopening borders. President Nicolás Maduro established a position on the positive data by saying that only in peace and cooperation is mutual development, as well as joint growth with the islands of Aruba and Bonaire.

He indicated that the path of Venezuela, Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire, “Us who are here face to face and are brotherly regions and peoples” is to be embraced in the ideals of Bolívar and the Caribbean and Latin American union, and so that they never make us fight again.”

May they never again prohibit us from loving each other and getting along, because only in peace and cooperation is the mutual development of Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire and Venezuela,” insisted the Venezuelan President in his “Con Maduro+” program.

The Dignitary described the 362% increase in Venezuelan tourism to Curacao as “incredible” because it occurred “just a few months ago and from Venezuela, to the islands of Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire, I send greetings.”

The head of state praised the trade that is registered from the coasts of Falcón and Carabobo, “from there are going quality products, and how much the people of Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire like Venezuelan agricultural products,” he said.

Banana, pineapple, avocado, coffee, they are disputed, on these islands (…) but tourism has also resumed, a number of Venezuelans who are going on tourism.”

Recently, the Curacao Tourism Office revealed that, between January and September 2023, the flow of Venezuelans visiting Curacao experienced an exponential growth.

After the reopening of the border and the reactivation of air exchange between both countries, a total of 3,358 Venezuelans traveled to the Caribbean island, which represents an increase of 362% compared to the same period of the previous year.
