President Maduro applauds creation of the “National School of Poetry”

The constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, led this Thursday the award ceremony of the 2021 National Prize for History and the inauguration of the 16th World Poetry Festival of Venezuela 2022, on the occasion of celebrating the Bicentennial of the poem: “Mi Delirio en El Chimborazo(My Delirium in Chimborazo).

From the Teresa Carreño Theater, the head of state was accompanied by the first combatant woman, Cilia Flores, senior authorities of the Executive Cabinet, international poets from various countries and special guests, including the ambassadors of Russia, Cuba and Turkey:

I greet all the poets, from all the countries that are visiting Venezuela in this world poetry event, which is precisely being installed this Thursday, and there could not be a better day than this, in the 200 years of inspiration and the delirium of our beloved Liberator Simón Bolívar”, expressed the national president.

Poetry in high schools:

The Sectoral Vice President for Communication and Information, Freddy Ñáñez, informed President Maduro that the World Poetry Festival that was inaugurated in Venezuela, already has an early result, since it will be planted in high schools:

They asked us for it to be an event to open the School of Poetry in high schools and we have accepted the challenge. Here are the poets of the world (…) and this festival, moreover, started where it should have started, visiting the Andrés Bello High School, with the warm company of the students”, informed the minister.
