The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, called on the people, especially the youth, to be alert against the dispossession plans that the international right wing intends to materialize, against the Venezuelan territory of Guayana Esequiba, after the Secretary of State of the United States, Antony Blinken, ratified his support for the government of Guyana in the territorial controversy and affirmed that the unfavorable Arbitration Award is the way to follow:
“The North American empire, the remains of the British empire and the right wing intend to strip us of our land – take a look – Secretary of State (Antony) Blinken of the United States came out there to give a speech against Venezuela, to support the Arbitration Award of 1899 that they imposed with the British Empire,” he said from La Casona Cultural “Aquiles Nazoa”, located in Miranda state.
He stated that this plot is being woven from different fronts and those participating have been the same ones who bet on a coup d’état and the installation of a parallel government in Venezuela:
“Iván Duque, Sebastián Piñera, Mario Benítez, among others, the same ones who tried to invade from Cúcuta, the same ones who took (Juan) Guaidó to Cúcuta, the same ones who support the López family, the Borges family, the Machado, the Capriles family, all they appear with a document saying that Guayana Esequiba belongs to Guyana, disowning the rights of Venezuela, disowning the People’s decision,” he pointed out.
