In order to consolidate the diversified economy, through national and international investment with a productive nature, this Tuesday came into effect the Special Economic Zone (ZEE) of Nueva Esparta state.
The announcement made by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, is part of the Organic Law of Special Economic Zones, promulgated on July 20, 2022, for the development of new sovereign economic models that prioritize productive chaining, legal security, social justice and environmentally sustainable media:
“I have in my hand, studied, worked in a concise, detailed manner to positively impact the economy of our beautiful Nueva Esparta state the decree creating the Special Economic Zone, the new Special Economic Zone of the country,” he emphasized when making official – with his signature– the creation of the ZEE that will open the doors to the integral development of the entity.
In this regard, deputy Nicolás Maduro Guerra, member of the Permanent Commission of Economy, Finance and National Development, explained that the Special Economic Zone is concentrated in three sectors: industrial, scientific-technological and tourist, hotel and entertainment services.
