President Maduro begins historic visit to the People’s Republic of China

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, arrived at the Bo an International Airport in Shenzhen city, to begin a historic visit to the People’s Republic of China.

Upon his arrival, the Venezuelan Head of State assured that he was ready “for what will be a historic visit to strengthen ties of cooperation and the construction of a new global geopolitics,” through a message published on his official account on the X social network, @NicolasMaduro.

Shenzhen, also known as the Silicon Valley of China due to its large companies dedicated to technological advances, during 2022 registered 42 new companies which are added to the 535 already established.

The area, which went from being recognized for its purely fishing activity to a technological mega-city, by the end of 2022, reached 12.2 trillion yuan in total assets of the banking sector, translating into a year-on-year increase of 8.5 percent, as reports the Xinhua Spanish web portal.

The visit aims to strengthen integration ties and strategic alliances in economic, technological and commercial matters; and thus hold a pleasant meeting with high-level authorities of the Asian nation.

The Dignitary is received by the Under-Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Meng Fanli of Canton; the assistant minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Hua Chungying and the ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the People’s Republic of China.
