Maduro: Guaidó's actions on Essequibo constitute treason to the Homeland

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said on Thursday that the actions promoted by Juan Guaidó, president of the National Assembly (an instance that is under contempt), on Guyana Essequibo, constitute an act of treason to the Homeland.
During an act from Fort Tiuna, in Caracas, the Dignitary repudiated that Guaidó, who declared himself as president on January 23, intends to deliver the legitimate Venezuelan territory to imperial countries “in exchange for political support for his fake government”:
“(Juan Guaidó) is a shame for Venezuela (…) we (The Executive branch) are in all world instances facing the imperial pretenses (…) They intend to impose a pro-imperialist government, to divide the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, to seize the Guyana Essequibo, to seize oil, the Gulf of Venezuela, to split the country into 20 pieces and divide the wealth”, said Maduro.
In his words, he recapitulated what was mentioned in the morning by the Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, who denounced the conspiracy plans to deliver the Essequibo territory to the transnational ExxonMobil oil company.
In this regard, the Head of State requested the Public Ministry (PM) to initiate investigations on the deputy, who heads the international criminal organization: “I think the prosecution must act expeditiously, because it is a crime of treason of the Homeland”, he said.
