A total of 162 Venezuelans returned to the country from Peru this Friday through the Vuelta a la Patria (Return To The Homeland) Plan, thus adding more than 342,000 repatriated Venezuelans from different nations, who were welcomed by the Vice Minister for Latin America, Rander Peña:
“Many of them (were) victims of human trafficking, xenophobia, discrimination, hatred, thanks to the Vuelta a la Patria Plan they are now safe in their country. They made the best decision: to go back home!», indicated Peña, who expressed the return of the compatriots is part of compliance with the guidelines of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, as a guarantee of the rights of Venezuelans who decided for various reasons to leave the country.
The Vuelta a la Patria Plan was created with the idea of protecting Venezuelans who are abroad in vulnerable conditions. Since the program began in 2018, all these compatriots have expressed their willingness to return to reunite with their homeland, with their family, with their friends, give that hug that they missed so much during the time they were away.
