In order to generate a plan that contributes to the transformation of the most important elements that affect well-being and food security, the use of resources and the development of the country’s productive activities, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, leads the Great Congress of Peasants, Fishermen and Producers of the Field, Seas, Rivers and the City.
The event that takes place at the Barquisimeto Bicentennial Fair Complex, located in Lara state, brings together more than 5,000 peasants and producers and more than 2,000 fishermen from all over the national territory.
The conclusions arising from more than 60 working groups will be presented to the Head of State who is in the company of the People’s Power Minister for Productive Agriculture and Lands, Wilmar Castro Soteldo; the People’s Power Minister for Aquaculture and Fisheries, Juan Carlos Loyo, and the People’s Power Minister for Urban Agriculture, Jhoanna Carrillo Malavé.
The National President ordered the holding of this Congress on Wednesday, August 23, during a work journey dedicated to the balance of the national productive sector.
