The president of the Electoral Nominations Committee of the National Assembly (AN), Giuseppe Alessandrello, informed that the nominations for rectors of the Electoral Power are extended until Thursday, July 27. The announcement was made in a statement from the Francisco de Miranda Hall of the Federal Legislative Palace, in Caracas.
After completing the meeting of the parliamentary body, Alessandrello expressed that “the Electoral Nominations Committee wants to announce to the country that we have finished an extraordinary work meeting, where the evaluation scale that will be used to evaluate each of the citizens who have applied so far was approved.”
“Following a number of requests made especially by the Faculties of Political and Legal Sciences of a good number of universities, we have unanimously decided to extend the application process until Thursday the 27th of this month,” said the parliamentarian.
He added that the extension is “to give or generate a larger, or larger, universe of candidates, so that the selection process is a more universal process.”
