Venezuela reaffirms commitment to dialogue to settle peace


Venezuela ratifies its commitment to engage in dialogue with the opposition sectors to settle peace in the country, said on Sunday the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Delcy Rodríguez.
For this, the diplomat manifested through her Twitter account that the patriotic forces will attend Dominican Republic, where it is expected that the talks are initiated, in order to generate the necessary mechanisms that help to overcome the current economic situation the South American nation.
In this regard, she manifested: “With full respect for the National sovereignty we will attend the meetings for dialogue, without any conditions! We are a people of word!”
Last week, representatives of the Government and the opposition held an exploratory meeting in the Caribbean country, to engage in a dialogue for peace and respect for the National sovereignty.
This initiative, driven from the Executive power, had the support of the General Secretariat of the Union of South American Nations and the former presidents Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero from Spain; Leonel Fernandez from the Dominican Republic, and Martin Torrijos from Panama.
