“The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, on behalf of the Government and the Venezuelan people, extends the warmest words of congratulations to the sisterly Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on the occasion of celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

On September 2, 1945, the leader Ho Chi Minh proclaimed the independence of that nation, an independence that the hardworking Vietnamese people have preserved and consolidated with pages of glory and courage, overcoming, together with the Communist Party of Vietnam and the wise leadership of their leaders, all the difficulties, defeating first the French imperialism and then the imperialism of the United States of North America, thus guaranteeing self-determination, independence and cultural identity, and contributing with their efforts to the process of reconstruction and national modernization, to the eradication of the poverty and prosperity of the country, an example for the developing world and an unequivocal demonstration that Socialism is the way to the supreme happiness in peace.

The Bolivarian Government, by conveying the warmest sentiments of brotherhood to the people and government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on this historic date, reiterates its firm commitment to continue advancing in the excellent relations that unite us with the Vietnamese nation, an expression of our deep friendship and the will to be united in the face of the challenges imposed by the current international scenario in the difficult times of the fight against the COVID19 pandemic”
