COVID: Venezuela registered 97 new cases in the last 24 hours

A total of 97 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in the last 24 hours, of which 49 are community transmission cases, and 48 are cases imported from Panama (29), the Dominican Republic (9), Türkiye (5), Mexico (4) and Cuba. (1); to sum a total of 548,800 confirmed accumulated cases to this day.

This was announced this Thursday by the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, during the usual daily balance offered by the Presidential Commission for the Control and Prevention of COVID-19, through her account on the Twitter social network, @delcyrodriguezv.

The community cases are located mostly in Sucre (17), Miranda (11), Bolívar (8), Zulia (7), Monagas (3), among other states.

On day 1,005 since the pandemic arrived in Venezuela, the country registers 5,830 as the total number of deceases. The number of recovered patients is 541,714 and there are 1,256 current active cases.
