President Maduro instructed the rehabilitation of the country’s 170 Water Treatment Plants

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, instructed this Wednesday to rehabilitate the 170 active Water Treatment Plants in the country, in a joint comprehensive action between the working class, the FANB and the organized people:

“We have to achieve it, to provide the highest quality of water service to all the people of Venezuela”, he said.

From the La Guairita sector, in the Baruta municipality of Miranda state, the Head of State reported that the goal is to achieve a flow of 23,000 liters per second through the Tuy 2 system, to strengthen the supply of drinking water for the people of Caracas.

Within the framework of this new day of the 1×10 of Good Governance, the national president evaluated the rehabilitation works of the La Guairita water treatment plant, tasks that included the installation of a pumping group for filling the washing tank, cleaning of settlers, disinfection of filters, waterproofing, installation of internal and external lighting, perimeter fencing, adaptation of the laboratory and repair of wall frieze, among others.

Maduro explained that the La Guairita water treatment plant serves more than 2,500,000 Caracas residents, while reporting that through its rehabilitation it was possible to go from 4,000 to 4,500 liters per second.
