Government seeks to prevent violence with dialogue in Santo Domingo

The Venezuelan Government seeks to prevent, with the path of dialogue, manifestations of violence and of a foreign invasion of the nation, as announced member of the Political High Command of the Revolution, Jorge Rodriguez, in purpose of the approach being promoted by the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) with the opposition.
During his television program “La Política en el Diván” (Politics on the Couch) he said that in the first exploratory meeting held last week in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, was rejected any attempt of destabilization in Venezuela, promoted by the counter-revolution.
“We insist, and we make vows so it is dialogue among Venezuelans what will prevent the ominous voices of violence, to repudiate anyone who would wish a military invasion or a dog fight that might strain any foreign intervention”, he said.
In representation of the Government, in addition to Rodriguez, attended Elias Jaua and Delcy Rodríguez, by request of President Nicolas Maduro.
The initiative by UNASUR counts with the mediation of former Presidents of Spain, José Luis Zapatero; of Dominican Republic, Leonel Fernandez and of Panama, Martin Torrijos.
