President Nicolás Maduro announces visit of Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Venezuela

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, announced the visit to Venezuela, in the coming days, of his counterpart, the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who will develop a bilateral agenda that allows us to predict the positive re-impulse of economic growth for the South American nation:

In the days to come we will be welcoming President Erdoğan in Venezuela, again, we are happily preparing for this visit to have a high significance for the development and economic recovery of Venezuela. Venezuela has how to do it!, and has great friends in the world,” said the Head of State during the acknowledgment ceremony for the ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Şevki Mütevellioğlu, who is completing his duties as a diplomat to the Venezuelan State.

It is worth remembering that on June 8, during his visit to Ankara, President Nicolás Maduro reported on the signing of three agreements with Turkey, within the framework of the high-level meeting held with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

On that occasion, he detailed in a press conference with his Turkish counterpart, that the agreements reached cover the areas of tourism, agriculture and financial-monetary, to join another 54 agreements that both nations have already signed within their broad map of development cooperation.

Work Accomplished:

In his words dedicated to the outgoing ambassador, President Nicolás Maduro thanked for the functions performed in Venezuela.

Thank you very much!, this is your house forever. Long live the friendship between Turkey and Venezuela!” he said.

Referring to the transit of bilateral relations between Venezuela and Turkey, during Şevki Mütevellioğlu’s tenure as ambassador, the Venezuelan President stated that these years have been of progress, in the midst of very difficult situations, which “gives an extra spice to the advances that we have had these years, because these were the years of the imperial attack against Venezuela”, which included the guarimbas (riots), the parallel power, the disowning of the legitimate authority in the country, and the theft of Venezuelan assets in the world, among other arbitrary actions against Venezuela.

He recalled that it was amidst this turbulence that the South American nation was finding its own path to recovery and development: “Thanks to God, to our people, to the world, Venezuela has relied on the new world, and you were always by our side.” he told to Ambassador Mütevellioğlu.

The Venezuelan Head of State asserted that the progress made in relations between the two nations has been possible as a result of a shared effort:

It has been decisive, dear friend. And so the decision I made was right, when you handed me the credential letters. You have been part of this Venezuelan team, we are winning the game”, he said, also valuing the heartfelt speech issued by the Turkish diplomat, with which “he leaves the mark in this act of what his management has been,” said President Maduro.
