The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, met this Saturday with the supreme leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as part of the official visit to consolidate cooperative relations between the two nations.
The National President stated that the Ayatollah “summarizes the experience of the Islamic Revolution in Iran” while stressing that “it is an honor to have his advice and his opinions,” as reports a Presidential Press bulletin:
“I had a meeting full of spirituality and wisdom with the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei. I am grateful for his words, which strengthen my soul and give us the necessary strength to continue walking the path of the world of peace and brotherhood that we want to consolidate”, wrote President Maduro on his account on Twitter.
In turn, Ayatollah Khamenei said that the resistance and perseverance of Iran and Venezuela have proven to be a successful experience against the hybrid war of the United States, quoted by the IRNA news agency: “The resistance exercised by His Excellency and the Venezuelan people is very valuable, since it raises the dignity, value and merit of the country and its leaders; and even today, the American vision of Venezuela is different from that of the past”, he expressed.
It should be noted that Venezuela signed cooperation agreements with the Islamic Republic of Iran, especially in the areas of agriculture and food production.
During his visit, President Maduro toured the Iran Expo where he was able to observe the capabilities and achievements of Iranian companies, accompanied by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.
