The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, remembered Elizer Otaiza on the occasion of the 8th anniversary of his assassination ordered by the right wing, who later tried to disassociate themselves from that crime through their narrative, but they were aware that this death would hurt chavismo deeply:
“Over there I saw that Otaiza’s son made a stop in his training as an athlete, he broke a record these days and came to pay tribute to his father and remembered how as a child he spoke with Eliézer about all these things about the Bolivarian Revolution”, he pointed.
