President Nicolás Maduro instructs to advance in the Rehabilitation Plan for the country’s high schools and schools

Framed in the “My Beautiful School” vertex of the Bicentennial Victory Plan, President Nicolás Maduro instructed “to advance more rapidly in the Plan for the rehabilitation of all high schools and delivery of new high schools.”

From the Ciudad Caribia urbanism, during his participation in the inauguration of the “Gran Cacique Guaicaipuro” National High School, the Head of State stressed that it is necessary to activate and recover all educational centers in the country, “with creativity, inventiveness, discipline, with adherence to study, with critical awareness, a great effort must be made”, he said.

He reaffirmed that these inaugurations are part of the recovery of schools and high schools in the country.

He explained that the new National High School “Gran Cacique Guaicaipuro” has an enrollment of 642 students in various daytime sections, 14 classrooms, two laboratories and a sports field equipped for the integral and academic development of students.

He highlighted the activation of a learning resource room, which will become a reading area, with physical material intended for students to have access to the information they need for their training.

The blessing of the educational space was in charge of Father Numa Molina, who expressed great joy at the opening of these facilities. “I am happy because this was one of my dreams, may God bless everything you are doing for Venezuela”, he said.

Socio-productive projects are developed on the premises, among which “Delicias Caribia” stands out, an initiative for the production of items such as jams and yogurts, among others.

Technology for schools and high schools:

During his intervention on this day, the national president announced that investment in the Bolivarian Centers for Informatics and Telematics will be increased:

“We are going to bring technologies and digital communication to schools and high schools to create critical awareness”, he said.

He expressed that it is necessary for each educational center to have permanent cultural activities. “You have to go to the direct connection with the students in the classrooms because a long time has passed in the pandemic (…) with critical awareness, you have to make a great effort,” he said.
