COVID: 1,148 cases reported by Venezuela in the last 24 hours

The Presidential Commission for the Prevention and Control of the Pandemic in Venezuela has reported 1,148 new infections by Covid-19, 1,139 by community transmission and 9 imported cases.

Delcy Rodríguez, vice president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, reported that Lara state registered 194 cases in 7 of its municipalities, followed by Mérida (180 cases), Falcón (150 cases) and Yaracuy state with 126 active community cases.

Through the @DelcyRodriguezv account on the Twitter social network, the senior official mourned the death of 13 compatriots between 40 and 90 years old, to whose relatives, friends and acquaintances she sent heartfelt condolences.

478 days have passed since the first case of Coronavirus was detected in Venezuela, the total number of infections is 279,813, the patients recovered 261,411, the current active cases 15,180 and the total number of deaths 3,222.

Vice President Delcy Rodríguez called on the people not to neglect prevention and care during the week of relaxation.
