Arreaza: EU interference in Venezuela must be reversed in order to reactivate dialogue

The coercive measures and the constant interference of the European Union (EU) in Venezuela must be reversed to reactivate the dialogue, emphasized this Thursday the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza.

“Systematic interference in internal affairs that only concerns the Bolivarian nation must cease,” said Arreaza through a message posted on the Twitter social network.

“The disowning of sovereign institutions, the support for coup-plotting and violent factors by the EU (Germany), should be actions immediately reversed to reactivate the dialogue with Venezuela,” detailed the Chancellor.

The Venezuelan diplomat’s comment refers to a publication of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The German Executive assured that the expulsion of the ambassador, Isabel Pedrosa, announced by Venezuela this Wednesday, “is unacceptable and must be revoked.”

The German spokesman indicated that, for the country “a terrible crisis is looming” and that “the Maduro regime is closing important communication channels,” as quotes the message.

Pedrosa’s expulsion is due to the imposition of coercive measures, due to the European blockade on 19 Venezuelan state officials last Monday.

In this regard, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said that if the EU does not rectify, “there is never again any treatment of any kind, no type of dialogue.”

Arreaza also delivered protest notes to the ambassadors of Germany, Spain, France and the Netherlands the day before.
