Venezuela is open to starting a new era of relations with US oil investors

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, denounced this Friday that the heart of the Venezuelan economy has been attacked through the prohibition of activities and the restriction of all oil companies in the world, he said, referring to the unilateral coercive sanctions of United States, under the administration of former US President, Donald Trump.

However, he stressed that within the framework of the Anti-Blockade Law, Venezuela is in the process of negotiating with companies from Turkey, India, China, Russia and several European countries, and he also said that Venezuela’s doors are open for oil investment, gas and petrochemical company “to work in a win-win partnership with the US and Venezuela.”

He recalled that before the theft of Citgo, the Venezuelan subsidiary in the US, the country supplied the North American country with 1 million barrels of oil a day, but then Venezuela stopped selling 500,000 barrels of quality oil. “When the legality of our threat company is restored, we are ready to resume all those plans,” he said.
