President Maduro calls for humility. He warns ego “is like a disease”

Ego is very strong in politics and power. It’s like a disease. The right wing suffers much more from this disease, because it is the egos of the surnames: (they think) “I was born to be President and everyone has to submit because I have the surname and I was born for this, we are the masters of the valley”.

These words correspond to the head of State and Government, Nicolás Maduro, when referring to the ambition for power that dominates the leaders of the extreme right wing.

In his seventh episode of the Maduro Podcast, the national president stated that he prefers detachment from power and personal ambitions.

I prefer humility, I prefer detachment from power, for things to flow and one is where one needs to be. I believe in that concept, that one has to assume the trenches of struggle and responsibilities out of conscience, by mandate of life, by mandate of history,” he stressed.
