Mission Venezuela Bella adds more than 5 million disinfections in 42 weeks of combat against COVID-19

As every Wednesday, the Great Mission Venezuela Bella carried out a Disinfection, Cleaning and Beautification Day in all public spaces of the national territory adding up to more than 5 million disinfections in 42 weeks of combat against COVID-19.

The Minister of People’s Power for Communes and Social Movements, Noris Herrera, informed about the journey of Disinfection, Cleaning and Beautification carried out in the base of Socialist Missions La Piedrita, located in the 23 de enero parish of Caracas, complying with the instructions of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, for the containment of the coronavirus.

“Today we carried out disinfection and recovery of spaces in the Simoncito, in the Casa de Abrigo (Shelter house), in the Casa de Alimentación (Nourishing house) and in the health module of the La Piedrita mission base,” she said.

The Minister for Communes pointed out that these works are possible thanks to the more than 48,000 Communal Councils and the more than 3,200 Communes throughout the national territory.

Meanwhile, the Minister of People’s Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, announced that the Plaza de Los Museos (Museums Square) located in Bellas Artes, Caracas, was also addressed this Wednesday with Disinfection, Cleaning and Beautification works.

“Within the Gran Misión Venezuela Bella all the cultural spaces of the country have a place. In its programming, the Plaza de los Museos has been incorporated, allowing the disinfection of the spaces of the square as well as the museums themselves that are preparing for their opening when the respective schedule finally provides for it.”

The Great Mission Venezuela Bella also addressed the Generalísimo Francisco de Miranda Park located in Caracas, with disinfection and maintenance works, as informed by the Minister of People’s Power for Tourism, Alí Padrón.

“During the weeks of flexibilization, the park has been welcoming an average of 18,000 people and we are making sure that these people have safe spaces”, he said.

On the other hand, the director of Planning of the Great Mission Venezuela Bella, Dulce Medina, during the disinfection journey carried out at the Catia La Mar Terminal in La Guaira state, pointed out that compliance with biosecurity measures is very important, especially in this passenger terminal, which has an average traffic of more than 18,000 users per month.

In this sense, the Secretary of Government of La Guaira state, José Manuel Suárez, indicated that approximately more than 1,600 public spaces have been disinfected in that entity.

“Thanks to the heart of our President Nicolás Maduro, we can say that we have a Guairean people living in peace”, he said.
