Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez assured that Venezuela will «never» allow foreign forces to enter the country and disturb the peace of the citizens, this after the former president of Colombia, Álvaro Uribe Vélez, raised the option of an operation by forces from other countries in national territory.
«The Uribe narco-paramilitarism that has plunged our sister Colombia into unprecedented violence and disturbed the political system due to narcotic relations, intends to threaten the peace and tranquility of Venezuela,» wrote Rodríguez on her Telegram and Instagram accounts.
Likewise, she emphasized that neither the claims of Uribe or the Venezuelan opposition will be followed by the Venezuelan people or the law enforcement forces:
“The Venezuelan people has spoken loud and clear in its rejection of the attempts to violate our territorial sovereignty by Alvaro Uribe and his local allies of extremist fascism led by a madwoman and a stateless puppet. Venezuela in national unity will never allow such criminals to appropriate the popular will or occupy the political spaces that should be at the service of democracy, peace and development,” she said.
Finally, the vice president stressed that “In the voice of Commander Chavez we respond to these criminals and cowardly vermin! Venezuela will remain in peace!” along with a video showing the support by the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), which are ready to confront any foreign threat.
