Diplomats and former South American Chancellors expressed support for DEC-6 elections

The Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, reported this Wednesday that diplomats and former Chancellors of South America expressed support for the elections to renew the National Assembly (AN) on December 6.

Rodríguez explained that during a virtual meeting with the authorities and former officials were received the samples of support for the electoral process.

“I appreciate the invitation to participate in a videoconference with prominent South American actors, between diplomats and former Chancellors of our Great Homeland, who in a fraternal dialogue offered their support to the transparent and participatory elections on December 6,” wrote the vice president on the Twitter social network.

She added that at the virtual meeting partaked the former Chancellors of Ecuador, Ricardo Patiño; Celso Amorín from Brazil; Guillaume Long from Ecuador and Jorge Lara from Paraguay.

Likewise, were also present the Bolivian ambassador to the UN, Diego Pary, and Óscar Laborde, president of the Mercosur Parliament, to whom they expressed their gratitude on behalf of the head of state, Nicolás Maduro, for such expression.

On December 6, elections to renew the Legislative Power will be held in Venezuela.

For the electoral event, 14,400 candidates, out of 107 organizations with political purposes, are competing for 277 seats in the AN; 98 opposition, 30 national, 53 regional, 6 national indigenous organizations and 18 regional.
