Chancellor Arreaza held a meeting with Italian counselor Pietro Benassi


The Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza held a meeting with Pietro Benassi, Diplomatic Adviser to the Prime Minister of Italy, with the aim of deepening peace diplomacy for the welfare of the Venezuelan people.
The meeting with the envoy of the President of the Council of Ministers of Italy, Giuseppe Conte, had the purpose of expanding diplomatic relations with various actors and political representatives, in search of an understanding of the real situation in Venezuela, the ways of peaceful and constitutional solution to the internal problems.
Italy is one of the member countries of the European Union that respects the sovereignty of Venezuela and distanced itself from the interventionist position in the affairs of the Bolivarian nation assumed by the European Parliament (EP).
In this way, the European country adheres to the principles of the United Nations Organization, and supports Russia’s proposal on the need to conduct inclusive negotiations and international mediation.
