Venezuela registered 476 new cases of Covid-19, 455 of community transmission and 21 imported cases in the last 24 hours, as reported by the Minister for Communication and Information, Freddy Ñañez.

Through his account on the Instagram social network, the minister announced that for today Zulia state is the entity with the highest number of infections, in 13 of its 21 affected municipalities: Maracaibo 46, Mara 19, San Francisco 14, Baralt 11, Jesús Enrique Lossada 11, Cabimas 9, Valmore Rodríguez 7, Colón 6, Machiques de Perijá 5, Lagunillas 3, Santa Rita 1, Francisco Javier pulgar 1, Miranda 1.

From the Presidential Commission for the Prevention and Control of Covid-19, he highlighted that the 21 imported cases come from Colombia, 15 with entry through Táchira state, and 6 from Zulia state, 11 women and 10 men.

He highlighted that to date 90,876 cases have been confirmed, of which 85,402 people have been recovered, which represents a recovery rate of 94% of infections.

Regarding the 4,690 active cases, he explained that 2,871 are being treated in hospitals of the public health system, 1,743 in Integral Diagnostic Centers, and 76 in private clinics.

227 days after the start of the pandemic in Venezuela, 2,103,473 tests have been carried out, which represents 70,116 tests per million inhabitants.

In turn, he lamented the sensitive death of 4 Venezuelans, due to the illness: a 51-year-old man and a 90-year-old woman in Táchira state, a 65-year-old man in Anzoátegui state, and an 82-year-old man in Miranda state: “Condolences to their relatives and relatives”, wrote Ñañez.

Finally, he sent greetings to the 100 nationals who arrived from the Republic of Cuba, “Everyone were received with the corresponding biosecurity measures thanks to the “Vuelta a la Patria” (Return to the Homeland) Plan promoted by President Nicolás Maduro, they will soon be in their respective homes.
