Venezuela formalized before the World Health Organization (WHO) the scientific study on the DR10 molecule to treat Covid-19, as reported on Monday the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez.
«We have formalized this finding before the World Health Organization in order to initiate the corresponding international procedures with a view to certification”, she said.
This was stated after a meeting with the representative of the WHO and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) in the country, Pier Paolo Balladelli.
In relation to this, she explained that they presented the conclusions of the study and other modalities of drugs and therapies to achieve effectiveness on the virus.
In this regard, she added that they estimate that during the next few weeks the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, will make announcements regarding other alternatives.
On Sunday, President Maduro announced that the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research (IVIC) has certified studies on the DR10 molecule.
This produces the total elimination of Covid-19 without generating toxicity that affects healthy molecules in the body or generating collateral effects, she said.
The study lasted six months and the molecule has previously been used against hepatitis C, the human papillomavirus (HPV), Ebola and other diseases.
