Venezuela reports a total of 23,280 coronavirus cases

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, reported this Thursday that in the last 24 hours, 942 new cases of community transmission and 39 imported cases have been detected in the country, to reach a total of 23,280 Venezuelans who have contracted the infection and the unfortunate figure of 202 deceases, due to the death of 7 more Venezuelans.

After concluding the daily meeting of the Presidential Commission for the Control of Covid-19, Rodríguez explained through the Twitter social network, that “again, today the Capital District (with 347 cases), is the entity with the highest number of infected people for this highly contagious virus; being the parishes with the highest incidence of cases: El Valle (70), Catia (41), El Recreo (25). The virus is circulating in the 22 parishes of Caracas”, stressed Delcy Rodríguez.

Likewise, she added that unfortunately “7 Venezuelans died today from Covid-19: 2 men of 66 and 43 years respectively, and 1 woman, 61 years old, in Zulia state, as well as 1 man, 58 years old, and 1 woman, 62 years old, in Táchira state, 1 62-year-old man in the Capital District (Caricuao), 1 63-year-old man in Miranda (Petare) totaling 202 deaths up to date.

In this sense, she added that today, Venezuela has 23,280 detected cases, of which 10,608 are active, 12,470 (54%) have recovered, 7,759 are in Hospitals, 2,681 in CDI, 168 in Private Clinics.

Finally, the Executive Vice President of the Republic reported, regarding the current condition of the patients, that 8,297 are asymptomatic, 2,122 with mild respiratory failure, 123 with moderate respiratory failure, and 66 are in intensive care units for presenting serious complications.
