Venezuela increases the number of COVID-19 recovered people to 84

The Minister for Communication and Information, Jorge Rodríguez, confirmed this Thursday that there are already 84 people recovered from Covid-19, which represents almost 50% of those infected.

Rodríguez explained that, of the number of recovered, 26 are receiving free treatment in hospitals and 25 patients are interned in Integral Diagnostic Centers (CDI). 12 patients are in private clinics, nine people are kept in home isolation and six people are in isolation in hotels conditioned for this purpose.

On the same vein, he announced that up to date the number of 9 deceased has remained. Likewise, he pointed out that “the vast majority of cases are imported” from Brazil and Colombia, the latter registering 4.2 cases per 100,000 inhabitants to date.

In this sense, Rodríguez criticized that the neighboring country is not controlling its border areas, which significantly affects the spread of the virus to our country.
