Venezuela denounces new provocation by an US vessel

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, denounced that at the end of January 2020 a US vessel was sailing very close to the border line with Venezuela, which is why the Bolivarian Navy issued the alert and prohibition of entering the Venezuelan territorial sea.

During the commemoration of the 28 years of the civic-military rebellion of February 4 (1992), the President informed that he has issued instructions to the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) to take the actions to which they may have place to exercise maritime sovereignty.

“Peace, sovereignty and independence (…) Nerves of Steel, maximum awareness and maximum fulfillment of duty (…) to defend peace by every millimeter”, he said before the concentration of ten thousand men and women of the FANB.

Similarly, in 2019 the Bolivarian Government reported that more than 70 US aircraft have entered the Venezuelan airspace without considering laws or possible accidents that could occur.

Venezuela has repeatedly repudiated the threats, the siege by the Trump administration, and their intentions to militarily intervene in the country.

In these lines, the Executive has assured that he is ready to face, in civic-military union, any aggression that may be attempted against the peace of the Nation from abroad.
