Venezuela and Qatar strengthen relations in judicial matters

The president of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), magistrate Maikel Moreno, welcomed at the headquarters of the High Court the ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Mr. Rashid Mohsin Al Fetais, with the purpose of continuing to strengthen relations in the judicial field between both nations.

During the meeting, the Qatari Ambassador said it was an honor to be reunited with Judge Maikel Moreno and said that this meeting will be recorded in his personal history because of the importance it means for the institutional meeting of the two countries, as reviews a press release from the judicial authority.

Moreno assured Ambassador Mr. Rashid Mohsin Al Fetais that the TSJ has its doors open for Qatar, within the scope of its legal competences, and both expressed that, with meetings such as the one held, the ties of brotherhood between the two nations are strengthened.

He also reiterated that from the TSJ and the Judiciary branch will continue the hard work of contributing to the preservation and defense of both democratic institutions and national peace, in faithful compliance with the provisions of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

At the meeting were also addressed various issues related to the development of bilateral labor cooperation, in order to strengthen binational relations, exchange in the legal field and academic exchange, in this context, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar invited the Magistrate-President to a judicial forum to be held in his country as an excellent meeting scenario in this area, as well as a great opportunity to explain to the world the truth about the reality in Venezuela.

Judge Maikel Moreno described the invitation as an honor and recalled that there was already a first judicial meeting with the State of Qatar, during the Cassation Forum held in Turkey, in which institutional ties were strengthened with the international coordinator of the Qatari Judiciary branch.
