Bolivarian Constitution allowed to conceive participatory and leading democracy


With the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela approved in a popular referendum on December 15, 1999, began the conceiving of a new participatory and leading democratic model, as said on Sunday the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Magna Carta.
The National President celebrated the 20 years of the referendum that said “yes” to the project of State proposed by Commander Hugo Chávez after he came to power on February 2, 1999.
“Our Magna Carta turns 20 years old! We celebrate with joy this day in which the Venezuelan people began to conceive the new participatory and leading democracy that traced us and continues to guide us on the paths of Peace and social justice. Long live the People’s Constituent Power!”, Said the Head of State through a message published on the Twitter social network.
Regarding the event, this Sunday the Venezuelan people commemorated 20 years of the approval referendum with a mobilization departed from Sucre square in Catia (Caracas) until reaching the adjacencies of the Federal Legislative Palace, in Caracas, where it was held a solemn act.
Similarly, the National Constituent Assembly (ANC) met at the Federal Palace to commemorate the anniversary.
