Comptroller asked Rafael Ramírez to return the money stolen from PDVSA

On Wednesday, the Comptroller General of the Republic, Elvis Amoroso, asked the former president of Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), Rafael Ramírez, to return all the money stolen from the oil company.
During the 7th Conference of Fiscal Control held in PDVSA La Estancia, Amoroso said, “If you’re that much worried about the country, return everything you stole”.
In that regard, he urged oil workers to report any irregular situation and corruption within the industry.
He acknowledged that there are ups and downs in the fight against corruption; However, he asserted that “this should strengthen us as a country, and thus denounce those who incur in that scourge”.
On the other hand, Amoroso took the opportunity to congratulate the Minister for Petroleum, Manuel Quevedo, for the 25% increase in crude oil production in 2019.
In that sense, he said that Venezuela will have next year a growth not only in oil production, but at the economic level.
