Dismantled 47 attempts to capture FANB officers to serve Colombia and the US


The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, revealed that have been dismantled 47 attempts to capture officers of the four components of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) to put them at the service of Colombia and the United States, in order to attempt against the peace and stability of our nation.
Thanks to the performance of patriotic military men, these plans were discovered and those involved were arrested, said the head of state in the “José Vicente Hoy” (José Vicente Today) program, broadcast by Televen: “We are doing permanent intelligence work”, he said.
He said that these actors who conspire against Venezuela have tried to steal missiles and cancel the system of mobile and fixed radars: “Of torpedoes and missile defense of the Bolivarian Army”.
“Today we have a stronger Bolivarian National Armed Forces, with a greater capacity in the defense of the country, which is demonstrated by reaching the goal of more than 3 million militiamen committed to the nation”, he said.
He also said that the FANB has “authentic, united and cohesive military leadership that responds to the needs of the people and that, in addition, is identified with the precepts of the Bolivarian Revolution and the legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez”.
