President Maduro celebrates 20 years of the declaration of Venezuela as Bolivarian Republic


On November 12, 1999, the National Constituent Assembly approved to rename the Homeland as the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
The constituent and martyr Eliézer Otaiza proposed: “Venezuela declares itself as a Bolivarian Republic, irrevocably free and independent, and bases its moral heritage, as well as the values of freedom, equality, justice and international peace on the doctrine of Simón Bolívar The Liberator”.
The Head of State, Nicolás Maduro Moros, celebrated this important fact through his official account on the Twitter social network:

“We met 20 years from the declaration of Venezuela as Bolivarian Republic. A proposal made by the martyr Eliézer Otaiza before the #ANC. We celebrate this fact, vindicating the Bolivarian thought, with daily actions to defend the Free and Sovereign Homeland that was bequeathed unto us”.
