The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, during the Work meeting with the National Electoral Commission, for the election of the Justices of the Peace, after referring to the upcoming elections to be held on December 15, stressed that the new history is being built, an unprecedented event, never before done in the country, thanks to the Magna Carta. with the upcoming elections on December 15:
“It is a beautiful process, we are building the new history (…) This never existed in Venezuela. (…) The election of Justices of the Peace is a historic event in Venezuela, thanks to our Constitution. We have made it possible because peace has triumphed,” he explained.
In this regard, the National President emphasized that “When one has victories like those we have had this year, we must accelerate the processes of change, of transformation,” referring to the fact that one should not fall into triumphalism for the electoral victories achieved by the Bolivarian Revolution, but rather one should “deepen and accelerate the revolution.”
Likewise, the Head of State recalled when he asked the National Assembly to “accelerate the process of consultation, debate and approval of the [Organic Law of Communal Peace],” once it was approved and published in the Official Gazette, he stressed that “it did not remained as a dead letter,” but was promoted “to invoke and evoke the wonderful conscience of the people.”
On the other hand, the Dignitary emphasized that if the violence and terrorism by the commanditos (*), led by the opposition, had persisted after the presidential election of July 28, peace would not have reigned, in this sense, he thanked the timely action of the civic-military-police union.
The Venezuelan President stressed that the Bolivarian Nation is preparing for the new elections of Judges of the Peace, scheduled for December 15, a process that ratifies the democracy of communal justice in the territory together with the Organized People’s Power.
