Institutions of the European Union try to destroy dialogue process

The Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, denounced on Thursday that the institutions of the European Union are trying to obstruct the process of dialogue in Venezuela, after the European Parliament requested new sanctions against the country:
«A few days ago it was Federica Mogherini, today it is the European Parliament. The institutions of the European Union are determined to disrupt and try to destroy the Dialogue process in Venezuela. They do not respect sovereignty, nor the right to Peace. What would Jean Monnet think?» wrote Arreaza on the Twitter social network.
The European Parliament asked on Thursday to impose new sanctions against Venezuela and reiterated its support for the deputy to the National Assembly in contempt, Juan Guaidó, despite his coup plotting actions against the Venezuelan State:
«The EU must restrict their movements, freeze visas and assets and extend the punishment to their close relatives, as insist the MEPs», said the Parliament in a press release.
The Venezuelan Government has ratified on several occasions its call for peace and the union of all sectors of the country in order to resolve differences through dialogue.
Since his arrival at Miraflores Palace in 2013, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, has made more than 600 calls for national dialogue as part of the policies of peace, reconciliation and respect for sovereignty.
Thanks to this initiative, it was possible to create a new space for conversation, with the mediation of the governments of Norway and Barbados.
