Maduro: I authorize the FANB to respond to Iván Duque with all the strength he deserves


The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, arrived at the Carabobo battlefield to commemorate the 198th anniversary of the Battle of Carabobo.
Present at the event were the Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, the Vice President for the economic area, Tareck El Aissami, the Vice Minister of Communication and Culture, Jorge Rodríguez, the Minister of Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, and the First Lady Cilia Flores.
From the Carabobo Battlefield, the Head of State said: “A day like today exactly 198 years ago our Liberator Simón Bolívar rode observing the troops of the Spanish empire, how many things have happened since then”.
“Bolívar was the greatest leader born in the Americas. His ability led him to overcome everything and with effort and sacrifice, he put forward his project”, said Maduro.
Also, the President highlighted: “Nobody gave us our republic, nor our independence. It was not a concession, it was a conquest taken by blood and fire”.
The president also emphasized the latest actions of Colombia on Venezuela and said: “Iván Duque declared yesterday against our Armed Forces, he intends to set himself up as Commander-in-Chief of the FANB, I authorize the FANB to respond to the Bogota oligarchy as it deserves”.
