President Maduro participated in national journey to demand cessation of interventionist threat

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, took part in the national day Thursday to demand that the government of the United States cease the interventionist threat.
“I have just signed for peace and the sacred sovereignty of Venezuela and in support of Venezuela’s right to independence and self-determination. I signed the letter that we are going to send to the government of the United States, (…) I made this letter thinking about the future of the country and the sacred right of peace and independence”, said the Head of State.
He also indicated that “the American empire may not like our ideology or our appearance, but we exist, and we are millions (…) for the good of Venezuela we have to sit down and talk. It is good to remember that this aggression is carried out in violation of the Charter of the United Nations and international rights”.
“I call on all the Venezuelans to join the firm for peace in all the Bolívar squares of the country to take this letter to the United States. Venezuela is a country that has widely expanded the participatory and protagonist democracy of the people (…) we are one of the countries with the largest number of electoral processes in the world in the last 20 years”, he said.
“I say to the people of the United States: Your representatives of Washington want to bring to your borders the same hatred that they sowed in Vietnam, they want to invade and intervene in Venezuela”, denounced the head of state.
The information was supplied from the Bolívar Square in Caracas, where was held the collection of signatures where the Venezuelan President was accompanied by the first combatant of the Republic, Cilia Flores; the Sectorial Vice-president of Communication and Culture, the Minister of People’s Power for Information and Information, Jorge Rodríguez and the Minister of People’s Power of the Office of the Presidency and Follow-up of Government Management, Jorge Marquez, and the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, to support the Venezuelan head of state and demand the cessation of the interventionist threat.
