President Maduro delivers draft Law against Corruption


The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, delivered to the President of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), Diosdado Cabello, and the President of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), Maikel Moreno, a project for the total reform of the Law against Corruption.
From the headquarters of the Supreme Court of Justice, the Head of State explained that said law project is a reform to adapt to crimes and modern times, and thus he asked for the full support of the ANC legislators and magistrates. of the TSJ for its prompt approval, as well as declared that it is urgent to increase the penalties for the different types of reformed crimes, as well as the new ones.
He explained that this update seeks to merge the various agencies responsible for the fight against corruption and the application of the law to make them more efficient.
Therefore, he proposed to create the National Central Anti-Corruption Office, attached to the Presidency of the Republic, in conjunction with the National Anti-Corruption Police, which will be in charge of directing all operations of investigation, prosecution and punishment of those who commit crimes:
“We must establish new systems and procedures for the seizure and auction of assets in order to establish, on a legal basis, international law and the extraterritoriality of this law for the corrupts who escape”, he added.
