Bolivia, Cuba, Mexico, Uruguay, Turkey, China and Russia support Nicolás Maduro


The governments of Bolivia, Cuba, Mexico, Uruguay, Turkey, China and Russia, expressed their support for the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, in the midst of the coup plot set by the United States (US) to overthrow the Venezuelan government.
After US Vice President Mike Pence urged Maduro’s opponents to march to create the conditions for a «transition» in the government, and after President Donald Trump expressed his support for deputy Juan Guaidó self-proclaimed as «president in charge», Iit was made evident the destabilizing maneuver of Washington.
After the self-swearing of Guaidó made in a proselytizing ceremony in commemoration of January 23, the date on which the beginning of democracy is celebrated, several countries spoke in support of the Venezuelan head of state.
The president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, expressed his solidarity to Maduro and the people of Venezuela, after the maneuver of the deputy in contempt:
«Our solidarity with the Venezuelan people and brother @NicolasMaduro, in these decisive hours in which the claws of imperialism seek again to mortally wound the democracy and self-determination of the peoples of #SouthAmerica. We will never again be #USA’s backyard», wrote Morales on Twitter.
Likewise, through the social network, Bruno Rodríguez, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, expressed support for the Venezuelan President:
«Firm support and solidarity of Cuba with the constitutional President Nicolás Maduro before coup attempt. The sovereign will of the people of Venezuela will prevail in the face of imperialist intervention. History will judge those who encourage and recognize the coup plotting usurpation», he said.
Mexico, meanwhile, pronounced itself in recognition «of the elected authorities according to the Venezuelan Constitution», said Jesus Ramirez, spokesman for the Mexican presidency.
Later, along with Uruguay, they signed a joint communiqué calling for «a peaceful and democratic solution to the complex panorama that is facing Venezuela»:
«Uruguay will continue to recognize Maduro as legitimate president, so the opposition deputy Juan Guaidó will not be recognized as president in charge of Venezuela», said a Foreign Ministry source to the Russian Sputnik news agency.
For his part, the Turkish Head of State, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, communicated by telephone with Nicolás Maduro and reiterated that he had his support, from the people and the government of Turkey, as commented Venezuelan President in his message to the people from Miraflores Palace.
China also supports the efforts of the government of Venezuela to maintain its sovereignty, independence and stability, as affirmed in a press conference the spokeswoman of the ministry for foreign affairs of China, Hua Chunying, who stresed that the participation of foreign forces will negatively affect the situation in the Latin American country. The officer held that her government is closely following the situation in Venezuela, and added that «Beijing supports the efforts of the Venezuelan government to maintain its sovereignty».
Meanwhile, Russia recognized Maduro as the legitimate president of Venezuela, said Andrei Klimov, senator of the Council of the Russian Federation, and stressed that they do not foresee a change in Moscow’s policy towards Venezuela.
After the onslaught of the US, President Maduro announced the breaking of political and diplomatic relations with the US, and had set a period of 72 hours for its foreign service to leave the country.
