The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, celebrated on Sunday the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
Through his Twitter account @NicolásMaduro, he confirmed his firm commitment “to eradicate, in all its forms, this act of cowardice.”
“Our duty is to protect them, because they are vital for the stability and happiness of society,” he said.
