President Maduro gets in solidarity with relatives of victims of shooting in US synagogue

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, condemned the shooting made this Saturday by a man in a synagogue in Pittsburgh, United States, which left 10 people dead and three officers wounded:

“We regret the attack that took place in the synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States; we condemn violence. Our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and to the Jewish community. The world must move towards a solid culture of peace. Together we can achieve it”, said the President through Twitter.

The suspect was identified by the Pittsburg City Department of Public Safety as Robert Bowers, a 46-year-old white supremacist who carried an AR-15 rifle, smaller caliber weapons and a suspected explosive device. The attacker surrendered half an hour later and is under custody.

According to local reports, the citizen entered the synagogue, where a baptism was being held, and shouted “all Jews must die” before opening fire.
